Maestosa purezza

Questa terra di Buddha è sempre pura, ma appare impura
perché io possa condurre alla salvezza gente dalla spiritualità inferiore.

Comprensione

Sarà in grado di cogliere le piccole vittorie su se stessa
o quelle cadute che si considerano come errori. Quando
saremo capaci di non sentire il disagio ; il senso di colpa
ad essi legato ma vedere con la mente tranquilla quale
insegnamento sia capace di portare ogni esperienza ; il
motivo del nostro attaccamento ( il non saper lasciare gli
egoismi ) potremmo raccogliere il frutto di ogni azione ;
anche degli errori che fanno orrore alla nostra coscienza.

Dio è amore e comprensione

Un uomo si recò un giorno dal barbiere per tagliarsi i capelli e rifilarsi la barba. Come sempre succede in questi casi, si parlava di molteplici cose con le persone presenti e con il barbiere, temi e argomenti della più svariata natura. All’improvviso, si toccò il tema di Dio.

Il barbiere disse: “Sappi che io non credo affatto all’esistenza di Dio, come lei dice.” “Ma, perché mi dice questo?” domandò il cliente. “Perché? E’ semplicissimo: basta uscire per strada per accorgersi che Dio non esiste! O…mi dica: se Dio veramente esistesse, ci sarebbero tanti malati? Ci sarebbero bambini abbandonati? E la sofferenza? E il dolore che pervade l’umanità? Io non posso pensare che esista un Dio che permetta tutte queste cose!”
Il cliente rimase per un attimo senza parole. Decise infine di non rispondere per evitare la discussione. Il barbiere finì il suo lavoro ed il cliente uscì dal negozio. Appena sulla strada, incontrò un uomo con la barba ed i capelli lunghi ed incolti. Apparentemente era da molto tempo che non se li tagliava e si vedeva chiaramente che la sua persona era molto disordinata e trasandata.
Ritornò allora di corsa nel negozio del barbiere esclamando: “Sa cosa le dico? I barbieri non esistono!” “Come non esistono? – replicò il barbiere – Ma io sono qui e sono barbiere!” “No – continuò il cliente – non esistono, perché se esistessero non ci sarebbero persone coi capelli e la barba tanto lunga come quella di quell’uomo che c’è fuori dal suo negozio, sulla strada!” E il barbiere: “Ah, i barbieri esistono, è solo che quelle persone non vengono da me.” “Esatto! – terminò il cliente – Questo è il punto. Dio esiste, solo che non tutte le persone vanno verso Lui e non lo cercano, o perché non lo conoscono, o perché non credono in Lui. Ecco il motivo di tanto dolore e tanta miseria!”

God is love and understanding

A man came one day to the barber for a haircut and beard rifilarsi. As always happens in these cases, there was talk of many things with people present and the barber, themes and topics of a more varied nature. Suddenly, he touched the theme of God

The barber said: “Know that I do not believe the existence of God, as you say.” “But because I say that?” asked the customer. “Why? Just up the road, he met a man with a beard and long hair and unkempt. Apparently it was a long time since I cut them and you could see clearly that his person was very messy and sloppy.
He then came back to race in the barber shop, exclaiming: “You know what? Barbers do not exist!” “How not? – Said the barber – But I’m here and barber!” “No – kept the customer – does not exist, because if there were there would be no people with long hair and beard much like that of the man who is outside his shop, on the road!” And the barber: “Ah, barbers do exist, it’s just that those people do not come from me.” “Exactly! – Ended the customer – This is the point. God exists, just not all people go to Him and seek Him, or because they do not know him, or because they believe in Him is the source of much pain and such misery! “

I The Specials (o The Special AKA) sono una band ska britannica, riconosciuta fra i massimi esponenti del movimento 2 Tone Ska inglese della fine degli anni settanta, assieme a gruppi come Madness, The Selecter e The Beat.

Formatisi nel 1977 a Coventry, dopo sette singoli consecutivi entrati nella top ten inglese, tra il 1979 e il 1981, il gruppo decise di sciogliersi, per poi tornare insieme neglianni novanta e separarsi nuovamente nel 1998.

Nel 2008 la band si è nuovamente riunita.

Afterwards, founder and songwriter Jerry Dammers dissolved the band and pursued political activism.

The group reformed in 1993, and have continued to perform and record with varying line-ups (but without Dammers).

Saggezza non vuol dire conoscenza, ma comprensione esperienziale. La
saggezza aiuta a cambiare radicalmente le abitudini e le percezioni,
ma mano che si scopre la sempre mutevole e interconnessa natura di
tutta l’esistenza.

L’insegnamento

La Chiave

Il Buddha comprese che l’ignoranza della nostra vera natura
è la radice di tutti i tormenti del samsara
e che la radice dell’ignoranza stessa
è l’abituale tendenza della mente alla distrazione.

Porre termine alla distrazione della mente,
significherebbe estinguere lo stesso samsara.

La chiave per realizzare ciò, Egli comprese,
è riportare la mente a dimorare nella sua vera natura,
mediante la pratica della meditazione.
