Rosa del deserto – Ashanti

Il deserto non è vano
e se lo varchi
sa portar dono :
– piccola rosa –
che a tutto resiste
ed il vento ha scolpito
come prezioso ricamo
Duro il tempo s’abbatte
ma nessuna lacrima
resti scolpita ancora
e liberi la sabbia
il suo segreto
– scoperta arcana –
che sia custode
d’un luogo perduto
pronto in eterno presente
a vivere ancora

Desert Rose – Ashanti

The desert is not vain
and if the gates
knows how to bring a gift:
– Small – pink
that resists all
and the wind has sculpted
as precious embroidery
Hard time s’abbatte
but no tears
still remains carved
and free sand
her secret
– Mysterious discovery –
that guardian
of a lost place
ready in the eternal present
to live again
