Bellezza ed infinito Amore

Ricamo parole
come rugiada al sole
riflettono mille immagini
oltrepassando la mente
aprendo il cuore
ad una nuova realtà

Catturo l’istante
lo voglio regalare
a che guarda oltre
le mille cortine
si fa accompagnare
dove  è sempre verità

Istante dopo istante
non bastano più
neppure le parole
ed è silenzio
a tracciare Bellezza
ed infinito Amore

Beauty and infinite Love

embroidery words
like dew in the sun
reflect a thousand pictures
going beyond the mind
opening the heart
to a new reality

I capture the moment
I want to give
to look beyond
the thousand curtains
is accompanied
where truth is always

Moment by moment
not enough
even the words
and silence
to trace Beauty
and infinite Love

Phil Collins – En Concert Complet a (Paris 2004)

https://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phil_Collins

Philip David Charles “Phil” Collins, LVO (born 30 January 1951),[6] is an English singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, music producer and actor. He gained fame as both the drummer and lead singer for the rock group Genesis, and he also gained worldwide fame as a solo artist.

Collins is one of the most successful songwriters and performers of all time, singing the lead vocals on dozens of hit albums and singles in the UK and the US between 1976 and 2010, either as a solo artist or with Genesis. His solo singles, sometimes dealing with lost love and often featuring his distinctive gated reverb drum sound, ranged from the atmospheric “In the Air Tonight“, dance-rock of “Sussudio“, piano-driven power balladAgainst All Odds“, to the political and religious connotations of “Another Day in Paradise“. Collins has been described by AllMusic as “one of the most successful pop and adult contemporary singers of the ’80s and beyond”.[1]

Collins joined Genesis in 1970 as the group’s drummer and became their lead vocalist in 1975 following the departure of the original lead singer Peter Gabriel. His solo career, which was launched in 1981 and was heavily influenced by his personal life and soul music, brought both himself and Genesis greater commercial success. Collins’s total worldwide sales as a solo artist are 150 million.[7] Collins has won numerous music awards throughout his career, including seven Grammy Awards, six Brit Awards—winning Best British Male three times, three American Music Awards, an Academy Award, two Golden Globe Awards and a Disney Legend Award in 2002 for his solo work.[8][9][10] He received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1999, was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2003, and into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Genesis in 2010.[11][12] Collins was listed at number 22 in Rolling Stone magazine’s list of the “100 Greatest Drummers of All Time”.[13]

Collins is one of only three recording artists (along with Paul McCartney and Michael Jackson) who have sold over 100 million albums worldwide both as solo artists and (separately) as principal members of a band.[14] During his most successful period as a solo artist between 1981 and 1990, Collins had three UK number-one singles and seven number-one singles on the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States, as well as a U.S. number one with Genesis in 1986. When his work with Genesis, his work with other artists, as well as his solo career is totalled, Collins had more top 40 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 chart during the 1980s than any other artist.[15] In 2008, Collins was ranked the 22nd most successful artist on the “Billboard Hot 100 All-Time Top Artists”.[16] Although one of the world’s best-selling recording artists and a highly respected drummer, Collins has garnered significant criticism over the years from music journalists and fellow artists. He announced his retirement in 2011 to focus on his family life,[17][18] though he continued to write songs and in 2013 he said he was considering a return to the music industry.[19]

Fratture

Il silenzio del cielo
si rompe in mille pezzi.
Da qui si sente fischiare un treno,
te lo saresti aspettato?
E presto al mattino
un vento beffardo
mi consegna il canto del gallo
e non so come, non so perché
mi piomba addosso la luna.

Fractures

The silence of the sky
breaks into a thousand pieces.
From here you can hear a train whistle,
you would expect it?
And early in the morning
a mocking wind
gave me the crowing of the cock
I do not know how, do not know why
I falls on the moon.

Devo

Il loro primo album, Q: Are We Not Men? A: We Are Devo! viene prodotto nientemeno che da Brian Eno.

Devo (/ˈdiːvoʊ/, originally /diːˈvoʊ/) is an American rock band formed in 1972, consisting of members from Kent and Akron, Ohio. The classic line-up of the band included two sets of brothers, the Mothersbaughs (Mark and Bob) and the Casales (Gerald and Bob), along with Alan Myers. The band had a No. 14 Billboard chart hit in 1980 with the single “Whip It”, and has maintained a cult following throughout its existence.

Devo’s style, over time, has shifted between punk, art rock, post-punk and new wave. Their music and stage show mingle kitsch science fiction themes, deadpan surrealist humor, and mordantly satirical social commentary. Their often discordant pop songs feature unusual synthetic instrumentation and time signatures that have proven influential on subsequent popular music, particularly new wave, industrial and alternative rock artists. Devo was also a pioneer of the music video, creating many memorable clips for the LaserDisc format, with “Whip It” getting heavy airplay in the early days of MTV.

CrCosby, Stills, Nash e Young – Full Concert – 12/04/88 – Oakland Coliseum Arena (OFFICIAL)

[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W80XEPxDDQM]

Altri brani da segnalare nella produzione di quegli anni sono Teach Your Children, The Lee Shore, Suite: Judy Blue Eyes, Carry On, Right Between the Eyes, Love the One You’re With, e la loro interpretazione di Woodstock di Joni Mitchell.

http://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crosby,_Stills,_Nash_%26_Young

Crosby, Stills & Nash (CSN) is a folk rock supergroup made up of David Crosby, Stephen Stills and Graham Nash. They are known as Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young (CSNY) when joined by occasional fourth member Neil Young. They are noted for their intricate vocal harmonies, often tumultuous interpersonal relationships, political activism, and lasting influence on American music and culture. All four members of CSNY have been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice,[1] though Young’s inductions were for work not involving the group.

Prior to the formation of CSN, each member of the band had belonged to another prominent group. David Crosby played guitar, sang and wrote songs with the Byrds; Stephen Stills had been a guitarist, keyboardist, vocalist and songwriter in the band Buffalo Springfield (which also featured Neil Young); and Graham Nash had been a guitarist, singer and songwriter with the Hollies.

Due to internal friction, Crosby was dismissed from The Byrds in late 1967.[2] By early 1968, Buffalo Springfield had disintegrated, and after aiding in putting together the band’s final album, Stills was unemployed. He and Crosby began meeting informally and jamming. The result of one encounter in Florida on Crosby’s schooner was the song “Wooden Ships“, composed in collaboration with another guest, Jefferson Airplane‘sPaul Kantner.[3]

Graham Nash had been introduced to Crosby when the Byrds had toured the United Kingdom in 1966, and when the Hollies ventured to California in 1968, Nash resumed his acquaintance with him.[4] At a party in July 1968 at Joni Mitchell‘s house, Nash asked Stills and Crosby to repeat their performance of a new song by Stills, “You Don’t Have To Cry”, with Nash improvising a third part harmony.[5] The vocals jelled, and the three realized that they had a unique vocal chemistry.

Creatively frustrated with the Hollies, Nash decided to quit the band and work with Crosby and Stills. After failing an audition with the BeatlesApple Records, they were signed to Atlantic Records by Ahmet Ertegün, who had been a fan of Buffalo Springfield and was disappointed by that band’s demise.[6] From the outset, given their previous experiences, the trio decided not to be locked into a group structure. They used their surnames as identification to ensure independence and a guarantee that the band could not continue without one of them, unlike both the Byrds and the Hollies. They picked up a management team in Elliot Robertsand David Geffen, who got them signed to Atlantic and would help to consolidate clout for the group in the industry.[7] Roberts kept the band focused and dealt with egos, while Geffen handled the business deals, since, in Crosby’s words, they needed a shark and Geffen was it.[8]

Stills was already signed to Atlantic Records through his Buffalo Springfield contract. Crosby had been released from his Byrds’ deal with Columbia, as he was considered to be unimportant and too difficult to work with. Nash, however, was still signed to Epic Records through the Hollies. Ertegun worked out a deal with Clive Davis to essentially trade Nash to Atlantic in exchange for Richie Furay (who was also signed to Atlantic from having been in Buffalo Springfield) and his new band Poco

Sull’Amare

7

Sull’Amare

On loving

We are to seek and confront ourselves to sow the things we believe . The relationship with others different from us for traditions and ideas is often a relationship of compromise : Opening and availability are clearing the way for seeking attitudes , attention and comparison with other aspects of ourselves in other people , which sometimes act as specchio.E ‘ through this comparison we can implement flexibility , warmth and compassion but this should not make us lose sight of the self-respect , the continuity of soul searching and a focused listening to what occurs in a spontaneous way , without being manipulate or bend dall’altrui judgment or by outside pressures designed to make us change behavior or , more importantly, from our attachment to our image or appearances. To love or to participate in the lives of others should be a path spontaneous and unconditional . All of us should work to find the joy of a constructive dialogue . Without anger or fear .

There are people who are able to love in spite of everything … and not planning anything.
Do not do it in the name of God or to earn a distant paradise , simply feel a deep joy in expressing their natura.Non try to get pleasure but fully live the present moment . Because they are aware that everything is Love.

The get what you sow is a natural law , some call it Karma .
Even in the Bible, in the Old Testament , Proverbs says that “He who sows the wind reaps the whirlwind .” (Osea 8,7) A small note to understand that we are responsible for our actions. Love is not something you or program imitates , it happens .
Anger , hatred , revenge, have some sort of corrosive power that harms those who first cultivated these seeds.
Better to forget the causes of suffering and still love (although difficult ) to be contaminated by corrosive and destructive energies .

Anima libera

Anima libera

incatenato a vecchie paure:
profonde le tue ferite :
tu hai tremato come in bambino

Free Soul

I waited you
in the silence of the full moon,
on the night of August flourishing
in a leap of words never spoken:
“You see that bright spot in the East?
It was there that you had lost heart
and I already knew, that after the darkness,
the light always comes, but you were confused,
Lost in a forest of thorns
chained to old fears:
deep your wounds:
you have trembled as in child
and can not think the road.
But your strength Forgot
has shaken the whole space
illuminated the night sky
broke the evil spell
put the chains to the dragon
he laughed at you and your tremor
A sweet lullaby
of the fairies to the forest
led you to this dawn
you collect the light and breathe the day
You take away the dust from your steps
and to your crystal heart
Turn on your smile
between hopes of new flights :
you are reborn after the storm of the heart
Here’s the new life
to drink in the cup
of your free soul

Gang Of Four

[youtube https://youtu.be/rmiwPZczUy8]

Gang of Four are an English post-punk group, formed in 1977 in Leeds.[1] The original members were singer Jon King, guitarist Andy Gill, bass guitarist Dave Allen and drummer Hugo Burnham. There have been many different line-ups including, among other notable musicians, Sara Lee and Gail Ann Dorsey. After a brief lull in the 1980s, different constellations of the band recorded two studio albums in the 1990s. Between 2004 and 2006 the original line-up was reunited; as of 2013, Gill is the sole original member.

The band plays a stripped-down mix of punk rock, funk and dub, with an emphasis on the social and political ills of society. Gang of Four are widely considered one of the leading bands of the late 1970s/early 1980s post-punk movement. Their later albums (Songs of the Free and Hard) found them softening some of their more jarring qualities, and drifting towards dance-punk and disco. Their debut album, Entertainment!, ranked at Number 483 in Rolling Stone’s 500 Greatest Albums of All Time, and is listed by Pitchfork Media as the 8th best album of the 1970s.[3] David Fricke of Rolling Stone described Gang of Four as “probably the best politically motivated band in rock & roll

Dido

Cresciuta studiando e ascoltando musica classica, a sei anni inizia a frequentare la London Guildhall School Of Music, dove studia pianoforte e violino.

Delle canzoni incluse in Odds & Ends, Take my hand è stata inclusa come bonus track in tutte le edizioni di No Angel, Sweet eyed baby è stata remixata e reintitolata Don’t think of me, mentre Worthless e Me sono state incluse solo nell’edizione giapponese.

Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj

Once you realize that the road is the goal and that you are always on the road, not to reach a goal, but to enjoy its beauty and its wisdom, life ceases to be a task and becomes natural and simple, in itself an ecstasy.

Bruce Douglas Cockburn OC (/ˈkbərn/; born May 27, 1945)[1] is a Canadian guitarist and singer-songwriter whose career spans over 40 years. His song styles range from folk to jazz-influenced rock and his lyrics cover a broad range of topics that reveal a passion for human rights, politics and spirituality.

In 2014, he released his memoirs, Rumours of Glory: A Memoir.[2]

Cockburn was born in 1945 in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, and spent some of his early years on a farm outside Pembroke, Ontario. He has stated in interviews that his first guitar was one he found around 1959 in his grandmother’s attic, which he adorned with golden stars and used to play along to radio hits.[3] Cockburn attended Nepean High School, where his 1964 yearbook photo states his desire “to become a musician”.[4]He attended Berklee School of Music in Boston for three semesters in the mid-1960s. In 1966 he joined an Ottawa band called The Children, which lasted for about a year. In the spring of 1967 he joined the final lineup of The Esquires. He moved to Toronto that summer to form The Flying Circus with former Bobby Kris & The Imperials members Marty Fisher and Gordon MacBain and ex-Tripp member Neil Lillie. The group recorded some material in late 1967 (which remains unreleased) before changing its name to Olivus in the spring of 1968, by which time Lillie (who changed his name to Neil Merryweather) had been replaced by Dennis Pendrith from Livingstone’s Journey. Olivus opened for The Jimi Hendrix Experience and Cream in April 1968. That summer Cockburn broke up the band with the intention of going solo, but ended up in the band 3’s a Crowd with David Wiffen, Colleen Peterson, and Richard Patterson, who had been a co-member of The Children. Cockburn left 3’s a Crowd in the spring of 1969 to pursue a solo career.

Cockburn’s first solo appearance was at the Mariposa Folk Festival in 1967, and in 1969 he was a headliner. In 1970 he released his self-titled, solo album. Cockburn’s guitar work and songwriting won him an enthusiastic following. His early work featured rural and nautical imagery and Biblical metaphors. Raised as an agnostic, early in his career he became a Christian.[5] Many of his albums from the 1970s refer to Christianity, which in turn informs his concerns for human rights and environmentalism. His references to Christianity include the Grail imagery of 20th-century Christian poet Charles Williams and the ideas of theologian Harvey Cox.[6]

In 1970 Cockburn became partners with Bernie Finkelstein in the music publishing firm Golden Mountain Music.[7]

While Cockburn had been popular in Canada for years, he did not have a big impact in the United States until 1979, with the release of the album Dancing in the Dragon’s Jaws. “Wondering Where the Lions Are“, the first single from that album, reached No. 21 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the US in June 1980, and earned Cockburn an appearance on NBC‘s hit TV show Saturday Night Live.

Cockburn was married from 1969 to 1980 and has a daughter from that marriage.[citation needed] He wrote the song “Little Seahorse”, released on In the Falling Dark, in late 1975 about the time when his daughter wasin utero.[citation needed]

Through the 1980s Cockburn’s songwriting became increasingly urban, global and political as he became more involved with progressive causes. His political concerns were first hinted at on the albums: Humans,Inner City Front and The Trouble with Normal. They became more evident in 1984, with his second US radio hit, “If I Had a Rocket Launcher” (No. 88 in the US) from the Stealing Fire album. He had written the song a year earlier, after visiting Guatemalan refugee camps in Mexico that were attacked by Guatemalan military helicopters. His political activism continues to the present. Cockburn has travelled to countries such as Mozambique and Iraq, played benefit concerts, and written songs on a variety of subjects ranging from the International Monetary Fund to land mines. His internationalist bent is reflected in the many world musicinfluences in his music, including reggae and Latin music.

In 1991 Intrepid Records released Kick at the Darkness, a tribute album to Cockburn whose title comes from a phrase in his song “Lovers in a Dangerous Time“. It features the Barenaked Ladies‘ cover of that song, which became their first Top 40 hit and an element in their early success. This lyric was also referenced by U2 in their song “God Part II” from their album Rattle and Hum.

In the early 1990s, Cockburn teamed with T-Bone Burnett for two albums, Nothing but a Burning Light and Dart to the Heart. The latter included a song, “Closer to the Light”, inspired by the death of songwriter Mark Heard, a close friend of Cockburn and Burnett. Cockburn frequently refers to Heard as his favourite songwriter and he was one of many artists who paid tribute to Heard on an album and video titled Strong Hand of Love.

In 1998 Cockburn travelled with filmmaker Robert Lang to Mali, West Africa, where he jammed with Grammy Award-winning blues musician Ali Farka Toure and kora master Toumani Diabate. The month-long journey was documented in the film River of Sand, which won the Regard Canadien award for best documentary at the Vues d’Afrique Film Festival in Montreal. It was also invited for competition at the International Festival of Environmental Films in Paris.[8]

Some of Cockburn’s previously published material had been collected in several albums: Resume, Mummy Dust, and Waiting for a Miracle. His first greatest hits collection was Anything Anytime Anywhere: Singles 1979–2002, released in 2002.

In January 2003 Cockburn finished recording his 21st album, You’ve Never Seen Everything, which features contributions from Emmylou Harris, Jackson Browne, Sam Phillips, Sarah Harmer, Hugh Marsh, Jonell Mosser, Larry Taylor and Steven Hodges. (Taylor and Hodges, formerly of Canned Heat who performed at Monterey and Woodstock in the 1960s, may be known best for their work with Tom Waits).

Cockburn performed a set at the Live 8 concert in Barrie, Ontario, on July 2, 2005. Speechless, an instrumental compilation of new and previously released material, was released on October 24, 2005. His 22nd album, Life Short Call Now, was released on July 18, 2006.

Canadian senator and retired general Roméo Dallaire, who is active in humanitarian fundraising and promoting awareness, appeared on stage at the University of Victoria with Cockburn. The October 4, 2008, concert was held to aid the plight of child soldiers.[9]

In 2009 Cockburn travelled to Afghanistan to visit his brother, Capt. John Cockburn, and to play a concert for Canadian troops. He performed his 1984 song “If I Had a Rocket Launcher” and was temporarily awarded an actual rocket launcher by the military. Cockburn has stated that, while unsure of the original Invasion of Afghanistan, he supported Canada’s role there.[10]

Cockburn released his studio album Small Source of Comfort in 2011. “Lois on the Autobahn”, a cheerful and experiential instrumental recalling “Rouler sa bosse” from Salt, Sun and Time is a tribute to Cockburn’s mother, Lois, who succumbed to cancer in 2010.[citation needed]

Cockburn married his longtime girlfriend M.J. Hannett shortly after the birth of his second daughter, Iona (b. November 2011) in 2011.[11][12] As of 2014, the family lives in the San Francisco area, where Cockburn is writing his memoirs up to 2004.[13]

A documentary film, Bruce Cockburn Pacing the Cage,[14][15] was released in 2013 on television and a brief theatrical showing; directed by Joel Goldberg, gave a rare look into Cockburn’s music, life and politics

Ultravox

[youtube https://youtu.be/hIuOz8vycWc]

https://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ultravox

Ultravox (formerly known as Ultravox!) are a British new wave band, formed in London in 1974 as Tiger Lily. Between 1980–86, they scored seven Top Ten albums and seventeen Top 40 singles in the UK, the most successful of which was their 1981 hit “Vienna”.

The band has been led by two different frontmen who never played together in the band at the same time. From 1974 until 1979, singer John Foxx was frontman and the main driving force behind Ultravox. Foxx left the band to embark on a solo career and, following his departure, with the three remaining members in hiatus, Midge Ure took over as lead singer, guitarist and frontman in 1980 after he and keyboardist Billy Currie worked in the studio project Visage. Ure revitalised the band and steered it to commercial success lasting until the mid-1980s. Ure left the band in 1987 after establishing his own solo career and the group disbanded for a while. A new line-up, led by Currie, was formed in 1992, but achieved little success.

The band’s best-known line-up of Currie, Ure, bassist Chris Cross and drummer Warren Cann reformed in 2008 and performed a series of reunion shows in 2009 and 2010 before releasing a new studio album, Brill!ant, in May 2012. In November 2013, Ultravox performed as special guests on a four date UK arena tour with Simple Minds.

Artisti

o usa come mezzo l’artista stesso.

Artists

Sometimes be artists allows to anticipate, as well as to participate,
through a sensitive sense to understand that not everyone knows.
The need to express, color words or color imprint on the canvas,
with notes that will have to follow a certain pattern, it’s nothing studied,
it’s like being crossed by a sudden flash (the inspiration) that plasma
or use as a medium the artist himself. They are sensitive people, in search of harmony,
listening through the insight and compassion that is participation,
sometimes expressed not so blatant.
The voice of the artist is first of all listening not only to themselves but also to what
keep in touch every other being, everything that does not bear differnze between their own suffering
or your own joy and that of others.

The Best of Echo & The Bunnymen

per album come Heaven Up Here, Porcupine e Ocean Rain in cui è contenuta la canzone The Killing Moon.

Echo & the Bunnymen are an English rock band formed in Liverpool in 1978.
The original line-up consisted of vocalist Ian McCulloch, guitarist Will Sergeant and bass player Les Pattinson,
supplemented by a drum machine. By 1980, Pete de Freitas joined as the band’s drummer.

Their 1980 debut album, Crocodiles, met with critical acclaim and made the UK Top 20.
Their second album, Heaven Up Here (1981), again found favour with the critics and reached number 10 in the UK Album chart.
The band’s cult status was followed by mainstream success in the mid-1980s, as they scored a UK Top 10 hit with “The Cutter”,
and the attendant album, Porcupine (1983), reached number 2 in the UK. Their next release, Ocean Rain (1984),
continued the band’s UK chart success, and has since been regarded as their landmark release, spawning the hit singles
“The Killing Moon”, “Silver” and “Seven Seas”. One more studio album, Echo & the Bunnymen (1987), was released
before McCulloch left the band to pursue a solo career in 1988.
The following year, in 1989, de Freitas was killed in a motorcycle accident,
and the band re-emerged with a new line-up. Original members
Will Sergeant and Les Pattinson were joined by Noel Burke as lead singer,
Damon Reece on drums and Jake Brockman on keyboards.
This new incarnation of the band released Reverberation in 1990,
but the disappointing critical and commercial reaction it received culminated
with a complete split in 1993.
After working together as Electrafixion, McCulloch and Sergeant
regrouped with Pattinson in 1997 and returned as Echo & the Bunnymen
with the UK Top 10 hit “Nothing Lasts Forever”. An album of new material,
Evergreen, was greeted enthusiastically by critics and the band made a successful
return to the live arena. Though Pattinson left the group for a second time,
McCulloch and Sergeant have continued to issue new material
as Echo & the Bunnymen, including the albums What Are You Going
to Do with Your Life? (1999), Flowers (2001), Siberia (2005), The Fountain (2009)
Meteorites (2014).
In 2012 Ian McCulloch released his fourth solo LP, Pro Patria Mori
and a live album Holy Ghosts in 2013.[4] In 2013 Will Sergeant
and Les Pattinson formed a group called “Poltergeist” and released
an album called Your Mind Is A Box (Let Us Fill It With Wonder)
in June 2013.

Lamentarsi

Lamentarsi

Quanto resterà allora in quel luogo?

Complain

Complaining cause a state of weakness and surrender, then one does not react with combativeness, with the search for solutions.
As mentioned, some believe that complaining will attract the attention of others, but is it true?
Why expect that another person is to bear our burdens?

I have an image in mind: One person at the center of a tunnel, not far from the entrance of the output.
He stops and complains, does nothing to come out of their situation,.
How then will remain in that place? It ‘a personal choice.

An ‘other person in mendesima situation, pauses for a moment, takes a breath and continues the journey on the other side of the tunnel is what he sought: harmony and strength that would not have found if it had not gone through that tunnel.

Complaining keeps suffering, it creates another.

Thich Nhat Hanh

★…★…★♥.♥…★…★…★

We really have to understand the person we want to love. If our love is only a will to possess, it is not love. If we only think of ourselves, if we know only our own needs and ignore the needs of the other person, we cannot love.

Dust on the road

Maybe when you are very close to the goal,
at the door of the place – no place so much that we tried, that inner state that is emphasized and that finally you are able to live, a particular concern shakes his mind: the fear of leaving everything that is known for something that seems again.
But in reality nothing changes, it is only to change the way we look at things, the prospect of our hearts.
Or, for a long time when the research was the only reason to live, you think that lost every spasm, every interest, life itself makes no sense.
What is a long rest after a race?
A sense of loss, abandonment, because for so long it was prepared and all the tension seems dissolved.
Then you forget what you were looking for, where he had direct all our attention
and our tension, the preparation takes too much space, it makes us feel a sense of attachment to the garment, forgetting how important it is to dissolve ourselves into dust on the road swept away by the wind.

Roy Harper Full Concert – London 1990

[youtube https://youtu.be/MvvmDWqM7SM]

https://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roy_Harper

Roy Harper (born 12 June 1941) is an English folk rock singer, songwriter and guitarist who has been a professional musician since 1964. Harper has released 22 studio albums and 10 live albums across his 50-year career.

Harper’s earliest musical influences were American blues musician Lead Belly and folk singer Woody Guthrie and, in his teens, jazz musician Miles Davis. Harper was also exposed to classical music in his childhood and has pointed to the influence of Jean Sibelius’s Karelia Suite. Lyrical influences include the 19th century Romantics, especially Shelley, and Keats’s poem “Endymion”. Harper has also cited the Beat poets as being highly influential, particularly Jack Kerouac. As a musician, Harper is known for his distinctive fingerstyle playing and lengthy, lyrical, complex compositions, a result of his love of jazz and Keats.

His influence upon other musicians has been acknowledged by Jimmy Page, Robert Plant, Pete Townshend, Kate Bush, Pink Floyd, and Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull, who said Harper was his “…primary influence as an acoustic guitarist and songwriter.” Neil McCormick of The Daily Telegraph described him as “one of Britain’s most complex and eloquent lyricists and genuinely original songwriters.”[7] His influence reached across the Atlantic where he was acknowledged by Seattle-based acoustic band Fleet Foxes, American musician and producer Jonathan Wilson and Californian harpist Joanna Newsom with whom he has also toured.

In 2005, Harper was awarded the MOJO Hero Award, and in 2013 a Lifetime Achievement Award at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards. In 2011, to celebrate his 70th birthday, he performed a celebratory concert at London’s Royal Festival Hall. His most recent album, Man and Myth, was released in 2013.
