Se ci si impegnano a seguire il percorso del coraggio, alla fine si sarà costretto a confrontarsi con quella che è forse la paura più grande di tutti – che è molto più potente e capaci di quanto inizialmente ci si renda conto, che il tuo ultimo potenziale è di gran lunga superiore a qualsiasi cosa mai vissuta in passato, e che con questa potenza si ha una responsabilità tremenda. Potresti non essere in grado di risolvere tutti i mali di questo pianeta, ma se mai volessi impegnarti personalmente al 100% per la realizzazione del tuo vero potenziale, si possono influenzare notevolmente la vita di molte persone, e l’ impatto avrà ondulazioni attraverso il futuro per le generazioni a venire.

La purezza del cuore – The purity of the heart

La purezza del cuore
«Beati i puri di cuore, perché vedranno Dio» (Matteo 5,8).
Nel linguaggio umano e soprattutto nel linguaggio biblico il cuore è il centro della persona. Lì maturano le scelte importanti della vita, lì ognuno ritrova se stesso e la propria identità, lì ogni persona decide di sé, nel suo rapporto con gli altri, col mondo e con Dio. Il cuore buono rende buono tutto l’uomo, il cuore cattivo lo rende cattivo.
Nella discussione sul puro e l’impuro Gesù dice che non sono le cose esterne e materiali che rendono impuri. Così pensavano i farisei, che avevano una concezione materialistica della purezza. Essi identificavano il puro con il pulito, perciò si lavavano e facevano tante abluzioni rituali; inoltre ritenevano impuri anche alcuni cibi, evitavano di mangiarli e li proibivano agli altri. Come ancora oggi fanno gli ebrei e i mussulmani con la carne di maiale e altri animali.
Gesù invece dichiara che la purezza è un fatto interiore e spirituale. Ciò che corrompe e rende impuri, non sono le cose materiali, ma il peccato; non è ciò che viene a contatto con l’uomo dal di fuori, ma ciò che dall’interno determina i comportamenti personali di ciascuno. «Tutto ciò che entra nell’uomo dal di fuori non può contaminarlo», perché gli entra nello stomaco, non nell’anima. «Ciò che esce dall’uomo, questo contamina l’uomo. Dal di dentro infatti, cioè dal cuore degli uomini, escono le intenzioni cattive: fornicazioni, furti, omicidi, adultèri, cupidigie, malvagità, inganno, impudicizia, invidia, calunnia, superbia, stoltezza. Tutte queste cose cattive vengono fuori dal di dentro e contaminano l’uomo» (Marco 7,18.20-22).
Dalla dimensione interiore e spirituale dell’uomo, dalla sua anima e dal suo cuore derivano i desideri e le azioni buone o cattive. Se sono cattive corrompono tutto l’uomo: infatti è cattivo all’interno, dove ha pensato e desiderato il male; ed è cattivo all’esterno, dove si comporta male e fa male agli altri. Così il cuore, centro della persona, qualifica in senso positivo o negativo tutta la persona.
Il cuore è come una sorgente da cui deriva tutto. Se la sorgente è buona, tutto sarà buono; se la sorgente è inquinata, tutto sarà corrotto. In questo senso Gesù dice: «La bocca parla dalla pienezza del cuore», perché ognuno tira fuori ciò che porta dentro. E ancora: «L’uomo buono dal suo buon tesoro trae cose buone, mentre l’uomo cattivo dal suo cattivo tesoro trae cose cattive» (Matteo 12,34-35). Bisogna quindi che ci sia un cuore buono, puro, generoso, perché tutta la vita e tutte le cose che si fanno siano buone. In particolare il cuore è la sede e la sorgente dell’amore. Perciò si ama Dio «con tutto il cuore» e il prossimo«come se stessi» (Matteo 22,37-40). La purezza del cuore sta quindi nella purezza dell’amore, e l’amore è puro quando è vero. Non solo sincero, ma proprio vero, cioè libero da ogni egoismo.
Cerchiamo quindi di guardare più da vicino la beatitudine: «Beati i puri di cuore, perché vedranno Dio». Abbiamo visto che la purezza è anzitutto un fatto interiore, del cuore, dove ognuno incontra l’altro nella verità. L’amore del prossimo richiede che i rapporti interpersonali siano veri, non falsi; autentici, non interessati. Perciò la prima cosa contraria alla purezza è la menzogna, la seconda è l’egoismo. Chi cerca il proprio interesse e inganna gli altri per raggiungere i propri scopi, non è puro nelle sue intenzioni e nelle sue azioni. In particolare, la purezza riguarda quel rapporto interpersonale, unico e specifico, che è il rapporto affettivo tra le persone. La purezza riguarda l’amore.
L’amore tra due persone deve essere vero e reale, allora è puro. L’amore vuole bene, vuole il bene dell’altro e vuole fare del bene all’altro, perciò si dona all’altro ed è pronto ad accogliere il dono dell’altro. In questo dono generoso l’amore arriva fino a dimenticarsi di sé e sacrificarsi per la persona amata. Questo è l’amore vero e puro. Se invece nell’amore uno cerca se stesso e i propri interessi, e per questo strumentalizza l’altro, allora l’amore è falso e menzognero. La purezza del cuore, quindi, è la purezza dell’amore che ama nella verità. Chi ama davvero dona se stesso con generosità e gratuità, e accoglie l’altro con riconoscenza e rispetto.

Chi è privo di motivazioni egoiste ed è capace di parlare e agire senza il desiderio di glorificare se stesso, è puro di cuore. La purezza del cuore ci permette di liberarci dall’effetto “velo” dell’illusione del sé separato. Chi conosce la propria vera natura, può discernere prontamente ciò che è in armonia con la volontà divina da ciò che è invece diretto dalla volontà dell’ego.
Un primo passo verso la purificazione della mente è di scegliere pensieri in armonia con le tue aspirazioni e intenzioni più alte. Questo non è un processo per fermare i pensieri. Osservali e seleziona quelli che sono in armonia con la tua vera natura spirituale. Il secondo passo è di praticare regolarmente la meditazione supercosciente, fino al punto di sperimentare la tua vera natura. L’immersione nella consapevolezza della natura essenziale dell’uomo, ti purificherà la mente. Scoprirai, a quel punto, di poter sperimentare direttamente la purezza del cuore – la tua essenza dell’essere.

Il solo fatto di “essere” è una benedizione

Esiste solo una vita – Dio; la Realtà che si esprime in ogni cosa che è. Saperlo ci libera dal peso creato dall’illusione del sé separato, ristabilisce la nostra consapevolezza nella completezza e ci permette di sperimentare la vita come la benedizione che è. Quando conosciamo realmente la completezza, il giusto vivere ci dà l’opportunità di scoprire quella che Paramahansa Yogananda definiva come la “sempre nuova gioia in Dio”. Molte persone pensano di dover lottare per sopravvivere o per essere felici e sicure. La vita non è stata creata per essere un peso. Se immaginiamo che Dio sia un’entità distante, possiamo essere troppo indaffarati a cercare di guadagnare dei meriti per scoprire che il buono è dove siamo. Scoprire il buono della vita può richiedere pratica.
Vivere in maniera cosciente è possibile facendo delle scelte. Perché non decidere di vivere una vita cosciente e di rendere la realizzazione di Dio il punto centrale di ogni giorno? Se dimentichiamo di essere attenti, la semplice dedizione ad essere spiritualmente svegli e a considerare Dio come la stella polare della nostra vita, contiene in se stessa l’influenza di supporto di Dio stesso e quando dimentichiamo di vivere nel modo più alto, la bontà intrinseca della Grazia di Dio rivolgerà la nostra attenzione verso il percorso della luce.

Il cuore dell’uomo è come uno specchio; dentro lo specchio non c’è niente, è Ku, è il vuoto di cui leggiamo nella Prajina Paramita. Quello specchietto che tengono le ragazze nella borsetta, è così piccolo, eppure in quello specchietto ci entra il cielo, ci entra il sole, la terra, le stelle, l’universo. L’infinito e l’eternità, anche entrano nello specchio. Lo specchio riflette una immagine, e se messo di fronte a un ricco, di fronte a un povero, non fa nessuna differenza: li rispecchia alla stessa maniera. Riflette nello stesso modo il Presidente della Repubblica e l’ultimo vagabondo. Di fronte a uno specchio, la grandissima montagna e la piccola pietra della strada, sono la stessa cosa.
Un cuore puro, così pulito come uno specchio, vede le cose nella stessa maniera, senza discriminazione. Se di fronte a uno specchio si siede un giovane, riflette un giovane; se si siede un vecchio, riflette un vecchio, se si siede un bambino, riflette un bambino, se si siede una donna, rispecchia una donna. Lo specchio riflette nella stessa maniera le cose che gli si mettono di fronte.
Perché lo specchio riflette gli oggetti che gli si presentano davanti nella stessa maniera? Perché lo specchio non ha una propria faccia. Perciò un cuore puro come quello dello specchio, non ha un se stesso: ha un cuore come quello di un bambino appena nato.
Come lo specchio riflette ciò che gli si mette davanti, così un cuore puro non fa nessuna discriminazione fra se e gli altri. Se si siede davanti uno che piange, riflette uno che piange, se si siede uno che ride, riflette uno che ride.Perciò di fronte alla sofferenza, proverà la sofferenza, di fronte alla gioia proverà la gioia: quello è il vero cuore dell’uomo.
Lo specchio non ha questa specie di amore, nel senso con cui il Buddha universale ha questo amore. A differenza dello specchio che rimane così senza muoversi, l’essere umano di fronte al dolore piange, di fronte alla gioia gioisce. Questa è la differenza fra lo specchio che è immobile e l’essere umano che invece partecipa a questo dolore.
Ciò in Giappone si dice hataraki, è il movimento che c’è nell’uomo. Gesù Cristo ha detto: “Se non si ha il cuore di un bambino non si entra nel Regno dei Cieli”. Ma questo cuore del bambino che cuore è? Questo cuore è quello che non ha il Se stesso, nel senso di Ego; quello che non fa nessuna differenza fra sé e gli altri; questo è il tipo di cuore di cui c’è bisogno per entrare nel Regno dei Cieli. Nella stessa maniera in cui ha il cuore un bambino, puro, senza discriminazione, senza che sia uscito ancora quest’Ego, quel cuore del bambino è come quello degli Dei.
Il Buddha nei sei anni che è stato nella foresta, ove ha attraversato molte difficoltà, dopo che il dubbio era entrato dentro di lui facendolo dubitare su quello che andava cercando, nel momento in cui ha spalancato gli occhi (nel momento in cui è diventato Buddha, cioè Illuminato) si è reso conto che il suo cuore è un cuore che hanno tutti quanti; tutti gli esseri umani sono in possesso di questo cuore di Illuminazione.
Siccome nella vita di ogni giorno vengono fuori dalla nostra mente molti problemi e pensieri, questo cuore puro, questo cuore d’Illuminazione non viene fuori. L’essere umano, dalla mattina alla sera, ha la testa piena di cose che non hanno alcuna importanza; nel momento in cui tutto ciò viene tolto, viene eliminato, ci si rende conto che non rimane niente.
Noi abbiamo costruito un cuore nel quale abbiamo messo cose che abbiamo udito da altri, che non sono nostre, che non sono nel nostro cuore. Se noi riusciamo ad avere un cuore come quello di un bambino, sicuramente, riferendoci a ciò che ha detto Cristo, possiamo entrare nel Regno dei Cieli.

The purity of the heart
“Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God” (Matthew 5:8).
In human language, and particularly in the biblical language, the heart is the center of the person. There mature choices in life, everyone there finds himself and his own identity, each person decides for himself there, in his relations with others, with the world and God’s good good heart makes the whole man, the heart bad makes it bad.
In the discussion on the pure and the impure Jesus says there are external things and materials that make it impure. That is how the Pharisees, who had a materialist conception of purity. They identified with the pure clean, so they washed and made a lot of ritual ablutions; anchealcuni also considered unclean foods, not eating and forbade them to others. How do today’s Jews and Muslims with the pork and other animals.
But Jesus says that purity is an interior and spiritual. What makes it impure and corrupt, are not material things, but sin is not what comes into contact with the man from the outside, but from what determines the personal behavior of each. “Everything that enters a man from outside can not defile,” because it enters the stomach, not the soul. “What comes out, this defiles a man. For from within, from men’s hearts, come evil thoughts, fornication, theft, murder, adultery, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, pride, foolishness. All these evil things come from within and defile a man “(Mark 7,18.20-22).
From the inner, spiritual dimension of man, from his soul and his heart desires and derive good or bad actions. If you are evil corrupts the whole person: it is bad inside, where he designed and desired evil, and evil is outside, where he behaves badly and hurts others. So the heart, the center of the person, position in a positive or negative whole person.
The heart is like a spring from which everything derives. If the source is good, everything will be good, if the source is polluted, everything is corrupt. In this sense, Jesus says: “The mouth speaks from the fullness of the heart, because everyone gets out what he carries inside. And again: “A good man out of his good treasure brings forth good things: and an evil man out of his evil treasure brings forth evil” (Matthew 12.34-35). It is therefore necessary that there is a good heart, pure, generous, because all life and all the things you do are good. In particular, the heart is the seat and source of love. So you love God with all your heart “and the forthcoming” as themselves “(Matthew 22:37-40). Purity of heart is thus the purity of love, and love is pure when it is true. Not only sincere, but its true, that is free of all selfishness.
So let us look more closely at the beatitude: “Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.” We have seen that the purity is primarily an interior, the heart, where everyone meets each other in truth. Love of neighbor requires that the relationships are real, not fake, authentic, not interested. So the first thing that is contrary to the purity is a lie, the second is selfishness. Those who seek their own interests and deceive others to reach their goals, is not pure in his intentions and his actions. In particular, the purity of interpersonal relationship relates to that unique and specific, that is the emotional relationship between people. The purity about love.
The love between two people must be true and real, then it is pure. Love loves you, wants the good of others and wants to do good to another, so he gives another and is ready to receive the gift of the other. This generous gift is up to forget the love of self and self-sacrifice for a loved one. This is the true and pure love. But if one looks for love itself and its interests, and for that exploits the other, then love is false and deceptive. The purity of the heart, then, is the purity of love that loves the truth. Who really loves giving himself generously and gratuity, and welcomes the other with gratitude and respect.

The devotee, whose mind is disciplined, which moves in the world with the senses controlled and is free from attachments and aversions, is stable in the tranquility. That purity of spirit eliminates the pain and the devotee is firmly stabilized in permanent peace. (Bhagavad Gita 2:64-65)
Who is devoid of selfish motives and is able to speak and act without the desire to glorify himself, is pure of heart. The purity of the heart allows us to free ourselves by the “veil” of the illusion of separate self. Who knows his true nature, can readily discern what is in harmony with the divine and what is instead directed by the will of the ego.
A first step towards purification of mind is to choose thoughts in harmony with your highest aspirations and intentions. This is not a process to stop thinking. Observe them and select those that are in harmony with your true spiritual nature. The second step is to practice meditation regularly superconscious to the point of experiencing your true nature. Immersion in the consciousness of the essential nature of man, you shall purify the mind. You’ll find, at that point, you can directly experience the purity of the heart – the essence of your being.
The mere fact of “being” is a blessing
There is only one life – God, the reality that expresses itself in everything that is.Knowing this frees us from the burden created by the illusion of separate self, restores our awareness in the completeness and allows us to experience life as the blessing it is. When you really know the completeness, the right to live gives us the opportunity to discover what Paramahansa Yogananda defined as the “ever-new joy in God.” Many people think they have to struggle to survive or be happy and safe. Life was not created to be a burden. If we imagine that God is distant entity, we may be too busy trying to earn credit for discovering that the good is where we are. Discover the good life may take practice.
Living in a conscious manner is possible by making choices. Why not decide to live a conscious life and to make the realization of God the central point of each day? If we forget to be careful, the simple commitment to be spiritually awake and think of God as the guiding star of our life, contains within itself the influence of the support of God himself, and when we forget to live as high, the intrinsic goodness of Grace of God will turn our attention to the light path.

The human heart is like a mirror in the mirror there is nothing, and Ku, is the void of which we read in Prajina Paramita. The mirror holding the girls in her purse is so small, yet in the mirror we shall enter heaven, there comes the sun, the earth, the stars, the universe. The infinity and eternity, even entering in the mirror. The mirror reflects an image, and if faced with a rich, in front of a poor person, it makes no difference: they reflect the same way. Reflected in the same way the President of the Republic and the last tramp. In front of a mirror, the great mountain and the small stones on the road, the same thing.
A pure heart so clean like a mirror, sees things the same way, without discrimination.If in front of a mirror sits a young man, reflects a young and if he sits an old man, reflects an old, if a child sits, reflects a child, if it sits a woman, a woman reflects. The mirror reflects things in the same way that we confront.
Because the mirror reflects the objects that present themselves in the same way?Because the mirror does not have its own face. So a heart as pure as that of the mirror, has no self: he has a heart like a newborn baby.
As the mirror reflects what you put in front, so a pure heart makes no discrimination between self and others. If you sit in front of a crying, reflects a crying, laughing when one sits, one that reflects ride.Perciò the face of suffering, the suffering will try, try before joy joy: that is the real heart of ‘ man.

The Buddha in the six years that was in the forest, where he has gone through many difficulties, after the question had entered into him making him doubt about what he was looking for, when he opened his eyes (when he became Buddha , that is, Enlightened One) has realized that his heart is a heart that everyone, all human beings are in possession of this heart of enlightenment.
Since in everyday life are many problems out of our minds and thoughts, this pure heart, this heart of Enlightenment does not come out. The human being, from morning to night, has a head full of things that do not matter, when everything is removed, it is deleted, we realize that there is nothing left.
We have built a heart in which we put things we’ve heard from others that are not ours, that are not in our hearts. If we manage to have a heart like a child, of course, referring to what Christ said, we can enter the kingdom of heaven.
