Sii cosciente
Qualunque cosa fai, falla coscientemente.

La scala per il paradiso

Camminavo sulla spiaggia
tra orme ormai sbiadite
mentre i gabbiani cercavano
di varcare ogni confine
Le onde allungavano la cresta al sole
ed io raccoglievo tra la sabbia i miei sogni
dal pugno ora aperto
nella voce del vento
lasciavo il mio spirito
Il passato rotolava
tra il rumore del mare
mentre respiravo ogni ragione
e le domande sbriciolate tra scogli

Respiro ora nel vento
ricerco tra i sorrisi perduti tutto il mio essere
sono percorsi luminosi nel arco del cielo
sono rincorse
che giocano tra la spuma e le onde
pensieri lontani non offuscano
non ingannano più la mia mente

S’innalzano ora gabbiani
volano…giocano con capriole tra nuvole
Nei percorsi senza più freni
respirerò ancora
salirò dove prima temevo
perché tutto è meraviglia e seguirò la mia anima
che si libera dai lacci
che la tenevano prigioniera
arriverò dove nulla è stato mai raggiunto

The stairway to heaven

I walked on the beach
of footsteps faded
while the gulls sought
to cross all borders
The waves crest stretched in the sun
and I gathered my dreams in the sand
fisted now open
the voice of the wind
I let my spirit
The past rolled
between the sound of the sea
and breathed every reason
questions and crushed between rocks

Breath hours in the wind
I seek the smiles lost all my being
paths are bright arc in the sky
are chased
playing in the surf and waves
distant thoughts do not overshadow
no longer deceive my mind

Hours gulls rise
flying through clouds … they play with tumbling
In locations without restraint
breathe again
I will go where before I was afraid
because everything is wonder and follow my soul
which is liberated from the shackles
who held her captive
I will arrive where nothing was ever achieved
I will move the wings in the wind
and finally reveal the life of heaven

Saper nuotare – Knowing to the swim

Saper nuotare

Un erudito, saccente e presuntuoso, se ne stava andando in barca sul fiume. Guardando verso il cielo disse al barcaiolo: “Conosci la scienza delle Stelle?”. Il barcaiolo rispose: “No signore, non ne so nulla!”. Il cittadino ridendo disse: “Allora un quarto della tua vita è inutile!”. Poco dopo il cittadino chiese ancora: “Hai studiato la scienza della Terra?” E il barcaiolo rispose: “No signore, non l’ho studiata”. Il sapiente esclamò: “Allora metà della tua vita è inutile!”. Il povero barcaiolo rimase zitto e mortificato. Dopo un po’ osservando la foresta in riva al fiume, l’erudito disse in tono solenne: “Certamente conoscerai almeno la matematica!”. Il barcaiolo rispose: “Signore io non so niente di nessuna scienza. Cerco solamente di guadagnare di che vivere remando!”. Il sapiente sorridendo replicò: “Allora tre quarti della tua vita sono trascorsi inutilmente!

Mentre i due stavano parlando, improvvisamente si scatenò un forte uragano che sconquassando la barca iniziò a farla affondare. Il barcaiolo si gettò in acqua e iniziò a nuotare per guadagnare la riva e mettersi in salvo e mentre nuotava gridò: “Signore, sapete nuotare?”. Quello rispose: “Se sapessi nuotare mi sarei tuffato anch’io! Ora che ne sarà di me?”. Il barcaiolo affaticato rispose: “Non vi resta che annegare! Avete studiato tante scienze ma non avete imparato a nuotare, così tutto è stato inutile! Ora raccomandatevi l’anima a Dio!”.

Nell’oceano dell’esistenza l’unica vera scienza è quella della Devozione. Colui che non la conosce e che orgogliosamente si vanta di essere un dotto, pur conoscendo solo scienze mondane, è destinato ad affondarvi.
