Il leone malato e la volpe

Un giorno il leone, ormai vecchio ed ammalato, comandò a tutti i sudditi che lo andassero a trovare, promettendo in cambio della visita la salvaguardia da zanne e artigli.
Mentre tutti gli animali andavano, in solenne sfilata, a far visita al re della foresta, una volpe poco persuasa decise di restar nella sua casa.
E si dice che dicesse: – Se osservate le orme impresse nel terreno, vedrete che nessuno torna indietro. Ad uno ad uno cadon tutti nella trappola. Grazie tante, maestà, della grazia che ci fa. Benissimo si vede che nella tana si può entrare, ma non si vede altrettanto bene come da lì si possa uscire. –

Coi malvagi di natura, la prudenza non è mai troppa!

The sick lion and the fox

One day the lion was old and sick, commanded all the subjects that they were going to find, promising in return the visit the safeguard fangs and claws.
While all the animals went in solemn procession, to visit the king of the forest, a little fox persuaded decided to remain in her home.
It is said that said: – If you look at the footprints in the ground, you will see that nobody comes back. One by one they all are desolate in the trap. Thank you, your majesty, the grace that makes us. Well you see that in the den you can enter, but do not see as well as from there you can go out. –

With the evil of nature, prudence is never enough!
