LUCE

«Io sono la luce del mondo», diceva Gesù Cristo.
Una frase talmente nota e scontata da convincerci di sapere perfettamente che significa. Nessuno oserebbe chiedere una spiegazione, nel timore di fare la figura dell’ignorante.
Ma ne siamo così sicuri?
In realtà tutti cerchiamo la luce, ma ben pochi sanno cosa davvero sia. Neanche la religione ci spiega con chiarezza a cosa alludesse Gesù Cristo con la sua famosa affermazione.

La luce a cui si riferiva il Cristo è anzitutto quella che permette all’uomo di illuminare l’interno di se stesso. Solo quando ha rischiarato gli angoli del proprio essere con la luce della coscienza esso può realmente vedere il resto del mondo, perché solo allora acquista la vera vista.
Certo, il Cristo è la luce… ma solo l’uomo ha la possibilità di azionare l’interruttore per accenderla. Colui che insegna mostra la strada, ma sta all’uomo percorrerla attingendo alla propria volontà, al desiderio di essere e di conoscere, e soprattutto di sviluppare le proprie doti. Non è sufficiente poter scorgere la luce del giorno e avviarsi sul cammino, se poi non si ha quel lume interiore che permette di individuare gli ostacoli e gli inciampi che impediscono di proseguire.

Essere la luce del mondo significa offrire la possibilità di vedere. Ma vedere che cosa?
Anzitutto ciò che realmente si è. Certo non bastano gli occhi fisici: è necessario utilizzare gli occhi della coscienza. Si tratta anzitutto di capire cosa si muove dentro di sé, di riuscire a percepire il proprio mondo interiore, per capire quel che si è e quel che si può essere; e poi di giungere a sentire il Cosmo nella sua interezza, di sviluppare l’attitudine a guardare il Tutto attraverso il chiarore della propria anima. La luce del mondo dà all’uomo la possibilità di vedere oltre se stesso, di scorgere e intuire la vita che anima la creazione intera e la bellezza di cui vibra.

Il limite maggiore dell’uomo sta nell’incapacità di comprendere cosa è e che cosa può diventare. Non sa leggere in se stesso. Non gli viene insegnato a sentire la propria anima, ad ascoltare il cuore, a decifrare i messaggi della coscienza. Conosce l’esistenza di cuore e anima solo per sentito dire. Raramente e in modo molto vago entra in contatto con queste parti fondamentali del proprio essere: tutta la sua vita cosciente si svolge soprattutto a livello fisico e mentale.
La luce del mondo è proprio quel raggio che rivela le parti sconosciute del sé, quelle di cui non si ha esperienza.
La cultura corrente impedisce di intravedere le potenzialità insite nel cuore e nell’anima. La religione dà una definizione incomprensibile di queste due componenti e della loro funzione, e l’uomo non sa a chi rivolgersi per scoprirlo. Eppure sarebbe molto semplice: gli basterebbe entrare nel proprio intimo e chiedere a se stesso. Schiudendo le porte del santuario interiore, la luce irromperebbe. In presenza della luce, troverebbe la chiave per comprendere lo scopo per cui è venuto al mondo.

In realtà la luce viene data a tutti ma, poiché non la riconosciamo, restiamo comunque al buio. Con la coscienza immersa nell’oscurità si cresce egoisti, presuntuosi, scontenti… E l’incapacità di conoscere noi stessi ci rende inadatti a comprendere gli altri.
Poiché non è consapevole di ciò che è, l’uomo cerca di apparire ciò che non è. Ma quanto più si sforza di mostrarsi candido e altruista, tanto più tende a nascondere un metaforico pugnale dietro la schiena la cui lama affilata, di solito, si chiama “parola”.

Sebbene la luce sia a disposizione di tutti, nessuno può darla ad un altro. In tanti si dichiarano “portatori di luce”, ma anche questa è una forma di inganno e di autoinganno. La luce si può solo cercare – e trovare, in una scoperta che non ha fine. Un saggio potrà indicare al prossimo come rimuovere i veli dagli occhi (o i macigni dal cuore); ma nessuno darà mai la luce ad un altro, perché la luce non ci appartiene. E la sua ricerca non può essere teorica.
Una volta compreso tutto questo, possiamo osare nel definire la luce del mondo come ciò che
mostra la via della crescita personale
permette di scorgere la verità in se stessi
insegna la completezza della vita.

Being the Light of the world is to offer the chance to see. But see what?
First of all, what really is. Certainly not enough physical eyes: you must use the eyes of consciousness. This is primarily to understand what is moving inside her, able to perceive the inner world, to understand what you are and what you can, and then come to hear the cosmos as a whole, to develop the ‘ All through the ability to watch the glow of his soul. The light of the world gives man the ability to see beyond himself, to perceive and imagine the life that animates the entire creation and the beauty that vibrates.

The light of the world is just that ray that reveals the unknown parts of the self, those of which you have no experience.

In fact, light is given to all, but since we do not recognize, we are still in the dark.With the consciousness grows in darkness is selfish, arrogant, disgruntled … And the inability to know ourselves makes us unfit to understand others.

Although light is available to all, no one can give to another. Many people claim to be “bearers of light,” but this is a form of deception and self-deception. The light can only seek – and find, a discovery that has no end. A wise man can tell the neighbor how to remove the veil from the eyes (or boulders from the heart), but no one will ever give to another light, because light does not belong to us. And his research can not be theoretical.
